Servant of the Lake Cellar and Lady of the Lake Cave
Saturday descent with three timepieces, and the Sunday barrel used in Kate's hunt.
The cellar sits under the armchair rug and opens on Saturday night once you hold three timepieces: Aldous’s silver piece from the hunt bag, Alexandra’s gold piece from the bath suitcase, and William’s piece after night duties. This map orients the bottle room, the barrel passage, and the Cave of the Lady of the Lake. Click order lives on Day 2. Sunday dressing returns here for wine 1643, blessing bottles, and the Kate secret.
The Demo never reaches this floor. If you are still in the kitchen, stay on the kitchen map.
Saturday night route
- Finish coffee, William, floors, hunt, laundry, and bath on Day 2.
- Throw balcony remains if you want Garbage Disposal, then take William’s timepiece.
- Pull the armchair rug and climb down.
- Match bottle necks to portrait symbols: bronze on Alexandra’s sword, gold on William’s S, silver on Aldous’s barred triangle.
- Enter the open barrel. You may carry only three tools at a time.
Cave tools and clocks
Typical loadout: magnet, hammer, shovel (swap as rooms demand).
- Magnet the mousehole key; hammer the mouse for Pest Control.
- Rewind statues, corkscrew oil, burn a trail, oil a hole, strike a match.
- Shovel a lockbox, hang the torch, hook a weight to drop a pillar.
- Set statue clocks 5:00, 8:00, 10:00 left to right. Any timepiece can sit on any statue if the face is correct.
- Take the alchemy book and give it to the waiting figure. William claims it for Sunday study.
Sunday return
During Dressing up for Dinner you come back for wine box 1643, sibling bottles (silver spiral, gold vertical triangle, bronze S in the story layout), sacred cloth, and James’s blessing. After credits, the same cellar hosts the wine-symbol letter, the bronze/silver/gold secret placement, the red cloth, and lockbox 6294. Do not mix story bottle positions with the secret letter’s bronze-spiral / silver-S / gold-horizontal-triangle layout.
Adjacent spaces
Up the hatch is the sitting room, not the attic. The cave does not connect to the hunt grounds or the coach yard. Departure statues on Sunday night (3:00 / 8:00 / 5:00) are a later outdoor set, not these cellar clocks.
Use full-game codes for every pad, endings for why the cave book matters, and the weekend checklist to mark both cellar visits.
Common wrong turns
If the armchair will not lift, you are missing a timepiece. Aldous’s silver piece is in the hunt bag after the cleaver scene, Alexandra’s gold piece is in suitcase 281, and William hands his over at night. In the cave, drop a tool on the floor before you pick a fourth—the three-item cap is silent. Statue clocks that refuse to stick usually have the wrong face, not the wrong metal. Sunday dressing uses a different bottle layout than Saturday portraits; if a barrel stays shut, you are on the wrong chapter pairing. Secret 6294 never opens on a first Sunday run. For hunt and bath context that feeds this floor, keep Day 2 open.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When does the cellar open?
Saturday night after you collect all three sibling timepieces and pull the armchair rug.
What times go on the cave statues?
5:00, 8:00, and 10:00 from left to right. Departure later uses 3:00, 8:00, and 5:00 on a different statue set.
Is the cellar in the Demo?
No. The free slice ends at the first guest carriage.
Where is the red-cloth room?
Through the barrel after you place bottles for Kate's letter. Shake the cloth, then enter 6294 on the lockbox.
Do Sunday bottles match Saturday bottles?
No. Saturday matches portrait necks. Sunday story and the secret hunt use different symbol-to-metal pairings—follow the page for the chapter you are in.
