Servant of the Lake Vanderboom Attic Map
How the Friday night hatch connects collection, stars, and the stolen scroll.
The attic opens on Friday night after The Night Watch. William hands you a walking stick for the ceiling hatch in the hall. This map is spatial, not a full click list—use Day 1 for order and Kate’s brother if you return here after credits for constellation replay.
The attic is premium-only. The free Demo never reaches the hatch. If you are still cooking porridge, you want the estate overview and Aldous’s room instead.
How you get here
- Finish reception, guests, tea, and reunion on Day 1.
- Complete night-watch loops. Check the garden door each patrol if you want Checking for Intruders.
- Take William’s stick and click the outlined ceiling hatch.
- Climb once the ladder has enough rungs (you find extras inside).
What lives in the attic
- Collection box — Sort objects by type before later statue work unlocks.
- Window crow — Click the bird away for Chase away the Crow. The same window later matters for secret-letter atmosphere, not a second code.
- Lantern and poem statues — Light first, then follow the poem order. One statue hides a purse.
- Window-box constellations — Story run uses cloud positions (house down twice, moon down three, water up once). The You’ve Found Him replay uses letter clusters instead: four buildings, two moons, three water marks.
- Golden-case animals — Seat butterfly, bird, monkey, fish, ibex after stars unlock the case.
- Scroll and extra rung — Take both, finish the ladder, slide the inner door. The scroll goes on William’s Saturday table; see Day 2.
Adjacent rooms
The hatch drops you back to the upper hall, not the kitchen. From the hall you can still reach the servant room, guest corridor, and garden door used on patrol. You cannot jump from attic to cellar—the cave is a Saturday night descent under the armchair rug.
Replay notes
Notebook chapter Searching the Attic is the only way back after Sunday. You do not need to redo the whole night watch. Bring the secret letter before touching the constellation box or you will rebuild the story stars and miss the next Kate note.
For a full Friday night click path, stay on Day 1. For every keypad in the house, use full-game codes. Tick the attic chapter on the weekend checklist.
Common wrong turns
Players often climb with too few rungs and think the hatch is broken. Search the collection and statue rooms for spare ladder pieces before assuming a softlock. Another trap is solving the story constellations during a Kate replay: the letter wants grouped building, moon, and water counts, not the cloud positions from Friday night. If the golden-case animals will not seat, finish stars first. The scroll is useless until Saturday morning on William’s table—do not hunt a Friday use for it. Pair this map with rooms if you forget which hall door returns you to Kate after the hatch.
