Servant of the Lake Kate's Brother — You've Found Him

After the Sunday credits of Servant of the Lake, maid Kate asks you to find her brother, the previous servant who vanished a year earlier. The hunt is a notebook replay across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday chapters. Finish the main story first, then follow each letter in order. The chain does not start during a blind first weekend. If Kate has not handed you a letter, return to the estate after The Departure and open the notebook. Chapter select lets you jump without replaying every chore.

Clue 1 — clock 4:05

Kate’s first letter says the crow awakens at five past four. Open Day 1: Waking Up Aldous. Take the clock hand from the toy soldier, fit it on the bedroom clock, and set 4:05 instead of the story time 7:00. A new note appears. Read it before leaving the chapter.

Clue 2 — bathroom tiles

The second letter says Alexandra summoned him to the bath, that he opened her suitcase, and that a severed hand waited inside. Open Day 2: Helping with Bathing. Use the wall tile puzzle and press Alexandra, then the bathtub, then the suitcase, then the hand. A loose tile opens; take the note.

Clue 3 — alchemy box RRRLRLRRL

The third note is a maze with Left and Right marks. From the centre, the path to the exit is Right, Right, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left. Open Day 3: Assisting in Alchemy and enter RRRLRLRRL on the left/right box. Take the note that pops out.

Clue 4 — attic constellations

The next letter hides three icon groups: buildings, moons, and water. Open Day 1: Searching the Attic. The constellation box already shows a building, a moon, and water. Match the grouped icons: four buildings, two moons, three water marks (the letter’s clusters, not the story cloud positions). Collect the new note. Room context: attic map.

Clue 5 — cellar wine symbol

The following note ends with a strange mark. Stay in Day 3: Dressing up for Dinner, go to the cellar, and recreate that symbol on the wine puzzle box. Take the next letter.

Clue 6 — bottles and red cloth

The same Sunday dressing chapter, still in the cellar: place bronze on the spiral, silver on the S / snake, and gold on the triangle with a horizontal line (the mark painted on baby James). Climb through the opened barrel. Shake the red cloth until a note falls.

Clue 7 — telescope 6294

The last paper mixes crossed-out bath numbers, a window, an eye, and an alchemy symbol.

• Bath notes (Day 2 washing): the remaining digit after the X marks is 6.
• House painting during Preparing Coffee: the arched top window shows 2.
• Hunt table eye looks at 9.
• Alchemy board’s last decoded symbol is 4.

Return to the red-cloth room, open the lockbox, enter 6294, and take the telescope. From the bust, take the left passage, use the telescope on the window, and pan up until a window lights. Click it. You unlock You’ve Found Him and see where Kate’s brother was taken.

Why the hunt exists

The secret does not change Friday–Sunday chores, but it explains why the estate keeps hiring servants and how the lake claims staff. Read endings for Harvey’s Sunday transformation and characters for Kate’s role. Tick the last box on the weekend checklist only after the telescope scene.

If a letter refuses to appear, you are in the wrong chapter or you skipped reading the previous note. Replay the exact chapter named above; do not grind random rooms. Steam still lists this as one of the 49 trophies on the achievements page.
